What SecureWorld collects & how they use data

  • SecureWorld uses cookies. These are used to “help remember and process the information you are interested in,” and retain user preferences for future visits.
  • They may store information voluntarily provided by users (e.g. through contact forms, event registrations, subscriptions) — insofar as that is needed for the services offered.
  • Data collected may be used for operating the website, providing their services (events, newsletters, communications), and remembering user preferences for future visits.

Data sharing & third-parties

  • SecureWorld does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer personally identifiable information to outside parties — except in cases where trusted third parties assist with operating the website, running the business, or servicing the user. These third parties must agree to keep the information confidential.
  • They may disclose information if required to comply with applicable law, enforce site policies, or protect the rights, property or safety of SecureWorld or others.
  • If the website links to third-party services or products, those external sites have their own separate privacy policies; SecureWorld is not responsible for their content or practices.

Compliance with Privacy Laws

  • SecureWorld states compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) — meaning they will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.
  • They also claim compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). They say that they do not collect information from anyone under 13 years old; their site, products and services are aimed at people at least 13 or older.
